hello readers. you might notice the lack of capital letters in this text. i have adopted a minimalist approach to my writing. the blog design will reflect that pursuit more over time.
i recently considered abandoning this blog effort in favor of my radical undoing pursuit. today i decided to begin this effort anew. some of the past articles will disappear as a new direction takes shape.
stay tuned for the new trajectory.
reasons for reinvigorating escape plans unlimited:
1. it is my own unique creation borne from my own experience.
yes, i borrow techniques and inspiration from others and from life. however, the content comes from me. when i write here, i write without concern for what anyone else thinks about the articles. i do love my readers though…
2. the blog is well established.
if you found your way here, you know what i mean. with virtually no updates, the traffic to escape plans remains consistent. the site has potential to reach many readers who find themselves in similar places to those i have explored and transcended. the site can still offer signposts and gentle guidance toward dissolution of false beliefs about yourself.
3. i feel motivated to spend more time on my writing and less time trying to teach anyone anything. this is a great place to make that move.
my most recent escape from a false self feels like the most major one a person could possibly have. it has less to do with any exercises or techniques and more to do with realizing how very little i know for certain. a person very dear to me asked me recently, “who are you really, beyond all that conditioning that all those books and workshops have given you and mask you? … who is garrett daun?”
i asked myself these questions over and over and a big black nothing began to emerge from deep within. after staring that frightful crevasse in the face for awhile, many things occurred. i’ll detail these occurrences in another post soon. for now, i’ll say that the answer is the most profound thing a person could ever realize. it will take a lot of unpacking of my deeply transcendent experience to attempt to share it here. i’ll do my best if i feel so motivated.
i’m done repeating my shania stories:
for now, you might begin to ask yourself questions similar to the ones my beloved asked me.
special, warm thanks and endless appreciation and gratitude to m. for her endearing, powerful, and piercing love.
more from me soon.
enjoy,

Welcome to another powerful exercise here at Escape Plans Unlimited.
Some updates before we get started:
-Radical Undoing and Energized Meditation weekly class starts in Ojai, CA on Wednesday October 20, 2010. Check out the Facebook Page below for more details.
You may have noticed the extreme makeover I gave the blog. The changes correspond with my move down the west coast from Portland, OR to Ojai, CA. An expanse of mountains extends in every direction from where I sit in this mystic valley.
Below, you’ll find the final video made in Portland. In the video, I demonstrate a powerful technique for letting go and trusting gravity. Often, the human body tenses itself against life simply to hold itself in place. The Flop…or letting yourself go…helps to alleviate low back pain and tension, and it will give you an indication of how you approach many other situations in your life.
By doing the exercise over and over, at least a few times per day, you will get better and better at it. As you get more in touch with your ability to let go, you will find other areas of your life getting easier and easier to deal with and even enjoy.
Use The Flop whenever you notice yourself having trouble letting go of thoughts, emotions, or upsets.
Watch the video a few times. Practice hesitating once or twice, and then thrusting yourself down a couple times. This will give you boundaries between which to find the middle path.
Best of luck:
Coming soon, I’m going to begin a new series of videos and posts, focused exclusively on exercises, reviews, and news coverage on brain science, neurogenesis, epigenetics, and immortality.
Enjoy,
-G

Time to get the whole world off your shoulders. Who wants to keep carrying that thing around, anyway?
It doesn’t matter what your beliefs are. All of them are lies. Ponder on that phrase for awhile…all beliefs are lies.
Now, how in the hell can you get the so-called world off your back? How can you start paying attention to what’s going on around you and in you? How much of “the world” have you actually experienced? How much of it have you just heard about second, third, fourth, fifth hand on TV, the internet, school, friends, parents, etc.?
Here is a simple technique you can do right now to alleviate tension, shrug off your problems for a moment, and get the world off your back. This is your vacation, after all, so leave behind everything you don’t need…just shrug it off. Leave behind your problems, concerns, judgments, conclusions, and politics. Feel.
Watch and follow along with me:
Wow! That felt great! I do this one almost every morning and evening, and sometimes throughout the day, whenever I notice some tension in my shoulders. One thing to remember: do these exercises as a fun experiment with your body, as something to bring you more joy, and as a reminder to fully appreciate the wonder and magnificence in you and all around you.
Enjoy Everything!
-G

The following list will exemplify eleven experiments you can make use of immediately. Make use of them to experience–now–the reality of your situation, regardless of how it may currently appear before your eyes. If you make these experiments, please leave a note in the comment section and tell me about your results.
Here we go, in the order my unconscious has decided upon:
1. The Gag Reflex. See my youtube video and other posts on the gag reflex.
2. Stare into your own eyes in a mirror while breathing deeply. Continue for up to an hour or longer.
3. Remember, right now, your whole body. Feel it fully.
4. Dive into your discomforts and reclaim the power you have invested in them. Recognize all bodily sensations as evidence of your vast power.
5. Make a list of traits about yourself. Do the opposite of each of the traits until you stop having ideas about yourself.
6. Remove all to be verbs from your writing, speech, and thought. If you don’t remove them, at least notice when they arise. Meditate on what it means to be.
7. Challenge your deepest feelings about your parents. If you have grown estranged from them, make friends again. If you see them all the time and you allow them to run your life, estrange yourself from them. Initiate arguments, disagreements, and finally, break away for awhile.
8. Enjoy your own sexuality and sensuality as you wish. If you notice discomforts, recognize them as signs of your vast power, your aliveness.
9. Learn something new right now. Find a tutorial on e-how or youtube that demonstrates how to do something you don’t know how to do. Practice until you get good at it. Repeat with new skill, ad infinitum.
10. Laugh at everything, especially when you don’t feel like it.
11. Enjoy everything. Yes, everything. Some have referred to this as: Say Yes to Life. Take a moment to explore the word, enjoy. Think of yourself as a teabag that will infuse the waters of reality all around you. With what will you infuse it? Allow me to suggest joy as an option. Bring joy from within you into your experiences, even the most difficult ones. Watch things transform around you.
To become yourself, enjoy yourself as you find yourself right now. Abandon all ideas about who you are. Stop thinking about yourself, and live. Gawd has no attributes.
Enjoy,
-Garrett Daun

This is something I channeled a long time ago. LOL! I’ll leave the rest up to your imagination.
Gambling:
A deeper look into an absurdly well-known song.
Entry: Adventurer; Definiton: risker; synonyms: charlatan, daredevil, entrepreneur, explorer, fortune-hunter, gambler, globetrotter, hero, heroine, knight, madcap, mercenary, opportunist, pioneer, pirate, rogue, romantic, soldier, speculator, stunt man, swashbuckler, traveler, venturer, voyager, wanderer
-Roget’s New Millennium™ Thesaurus, First Edition [emphasis added]
Ephemerally, while pondering the wonderful treasures found in The Gambler, I discovered Kenny Rogers had 61 albums out at the time. 61, for those of you into Hebrew gematria, equals the numeration of AIN, Hebrew for nothing, also the numeration of the Hebrew transliteration of the word ALL…my current reading at the time was Pacts With The Devil. Earlier in the day I had a slight revelation and began referring to magicians as gamblers. Kia hit home when I found the following quote and then checked the page number. Also, for Thelemites, note that Kaph and Resh (KR) add to 220, the same as the total of all the mystic numbers of the 10 sephiroth in the tree of life (or, the sum of the summation of 1-10) and the number of verses in Liber AL, The Book of the Law. Further, in a course on Eastern Religions, the first lecture contained a mention of an ancient root in Sanskrit and related languages. “kR” pronounced “ktr” acts as ancestor to both “KaRma, and “KReate” and the pronunciation sounds strangely like KetheR on the Tree of Life of the Kabbalists…let the mysteries continue.
“[Faustus] realizes, in a kind of satori, that there is more in the world to be explored, and he commits himself to the practice of magic, compromising his soul more in the fashion of a gambler making a bet than as an act of fatalism.”
-Pacts With The Devil S. Jason Black and Christopher Hyatt p61
[by New Aeon English Qabalah, Kenny Rogers = 149 = Jesus Christ…]
0. preceding and not preceding the lyrics
1. On a warm summer’s evening
Kenny Rogers had his first birthday on 21 August 1938 in Houston, TX no air conditioning made it a warm summer’s evening.
2. On a train bound for nowhere
Kenny sings of riding a train into the chaotic void—Nietzsche’s Abyss; Carroll’s chaosphere. The train reference also foreshadows the death of The Gambler later in the song. A train signifies the final escape from prison for those with life terms, as illustrated by the prophet J.C.: “I hear that train a comin’, its comin’ round the bend…” and redemption, “Meet me down there by the train…” again, “Let the train blow the whistle when I go.” This line signifies an escape from frantic searches for stability in chaotic existence to a peaceful beginning-end (in the spirit of Einstein’s ‘space-time’) of chaos. See the 2 of disks in Tarot for elucidation on this concept. This also describes the building of momentum towards the oath of the abyss. On his way toward Death (nowhere), Kenny meets up with his holy guardian angel and/or an adept Taoist magician lighting up Kenny’s way. This refers to the God On as a train bound for nowhere.
3. I met up with a Gambler
A gambler views existence as a set of probabilities. Nothing lies outside of the realm of possibility, thus the gambler acts as a magician, swinging the odds in his/her favor. Kenny meets this magician on his train towards his initiation into “nowhere”, never a more appropriate place to meet a guide/teacher.
4. We were both too tired to speak
KR (Kenny Rogers) refers to the Gnostic trance state induced here through sleep deprivation. They have both met up in a state beyond linguistic description which Zen monks have described by yelling loud and sharp, “AH!” Kenny is in what Leary called a state of high imprint vulnerability. The gambler notices this and meets Kenny there to initiate him into the mysteries.
5. So we took turns a starin’ out the window at the darkness
Obviously, The Gambler instructs Kenny in meditation practice, demonstrating the process, staring out the window at nothingness, at “darkness.” Some Buddhist meditation techniques involve staring at a wall and not allowing the mind to verbalize its perceptions. Kenny then takes his turn and struggles with boredom and silence, as indicated by the next line. The darkness referred to also reminds one of a wise old gambler’s dictum: The magician must have his/her feet planted firmly below hell and his/her head above the heavens. Perhaps Kenny confronts his own demons in this line. As stated below, the window is h. In hwhy, (YHVH, bastardized as Jehovah) the first h refers to the mother and the h final to the daughter. See line 18. window = he’ = 5 = The Star card.
6. The boredom overtook us, and he began to speak
Intuitively sensing Kenny’s frustration with meditation and confronting his demons, the gambler finally interjects with the 1st verbal lesson. Another theory regarding Kenny and the gambler states that the gambler acts as Kenny’s HGA (Holy Guardian Angel), and up until the angel (gambler) speaks, Kenny’s headed “nowhere,” remember? (Only a dualistic mental state can see a singular meaning in each of these lines. No one mind can deduce all the wisdom herein.) In the HGA analysis, Kenny’s descent into crippling boredom refers to the stage in meditation/yoga where the pain of proceeding reaches a climax and the practitioner bursts into Samadhi. This allows communication between Kenny and his HGA (the gambler). The reference to speaking indicates an opening mouth, pictured on the bottom of the tower card in tarot.
7. He said, “Son I’ve made a life, out of reading people’s faces…
In Liber Aleph, Crowley refers to a magickal student as ‘my son.’ This line further indicates the fusing of the microcosm in Christian mythology (Jesus, the Son of God) with the macrocosm (God Itself). Taking Son as a pun on Sun, the mythology slides from Christian to Egyptian and the Gods Osiris and Horus. Both our Sun and the Son act as visible manifestations of God. ‘Reading people’s faces’ refers to both the infamous evil eye of the magician, intuitive perception attained through magical/mystical practice and more overtly the perception of auras. It requires little imagination to understand how one may apply these skills to ‘make a life.’
8. “And knowin’ what their cards were, by the way they held their eyes…
A paradoxically wise cliché states that the eyes are the path to the soul. The cards symbolize both people’s true will and their current intentions, both of which one can easily determine through simple conversation and eye contact applied in conjunction with withholding judgment and measure. Consider every event (thing, place, conversation, person, etc.) that enters into perception as a disclosure to you from the flowing field of experience. Focusing attention on any one of these disclosures reveals secrets about the object of observation. This usually consists of a loss of the illusionary perception of separation between observer and observed and a full understanding of the function and existence of the observed.
9. “So if you don’t mind my sayin’, I can see you’re out of aces…
The magician/Angel asks Kenny for permission to give him advice as well as suggesting what may happen if Kenny does not heed his advice. As in a typical parent to child directive, “You had better mind me kid!” Or, “Mind your own business.” Thus, if Kenny does not mind (heed) the magician’s words, he can see Kenny’s future and it appears as the loss of the roots/seeds of the four elements (Aces in tarot). The ‘out of aces’ comment also refers to Kether, the concealed, 1st sephirah of the Qabalistic Tree of Life. The magician/gambler advises Kenny that he has lost touch with the original creative source. He finds Kenny either very low on the tree of life, completely fallen off of it, or in the abyss itself. Gematria could perhaps reveal which.
10. “So for a taste of your whiskey, I’ll give you some advice.”
Whiskey and other alcohol traditionally get called ‘spirits.’ The gambler asks Kenny to open his spirit up for illumination/initiation. On another level, the ‘taste of whiskey’ refers to sacrament. Since they have whiskey, not wine, they creatively adapt to their circumstances. On a more mundane plane, alcohol (in small amounts, i.e. ‘a taste’) relaxes inhibitions and opens people up to more direct communication.
11. So I handed him my bottle, and he drank down my last swallow,
Kenny demonstrates his openness to learning by giving away his last bit of whiskey for occult advice. He passes with flying colors this cunning test from the gambler. On the HGA level of the story, Kenny gives over the last of his spirit to his holy guardian angel, for if one atom of Kenny’s self does not get dissolved into the angel, this will grow into a monster, destroying Kenny’s psyche and/or life. Kenny shows his mastership by giving it all over. The magician/gambler/angel drinks up Kenny’s spirit and then proceeds to guide him on his way.
12. Then he bummed a cigarette and asked me for a light,
Tobacco served (and still serves) as a sacrament in many Native American rituals and celebrations. Sharing of it brings connection between all those involved. Again, the gambler asks Kenny for sacrament. The magickal lamp, Prometheus the fire-giver, the purple flame within the sacred heart, varied fire gods/goddesses all come to mind in the ‘light’ reference. Kenny must remove his masks and ignite the flame within his heart; thus purifying himself enough to receive the secret teachings/initiation.
13. Then the night got deathly quiet, and his face lost all expression,
All external noises fade away as the magician begins Kenny’s initiation. It is not mere chance the adverb ‘deathly’ shows up here. Kenny enters into the silent void at the center of his own spirit beyond the duality of life and death. It has been written that one mark of an adept magician is an expressionless face; “the face of a baby before its first smile.” This illuminates the dictum from Liber AL I: 22 “Bind nothing! Let there be no difference made among you between any one thing & any other thing; for thereby there cometh hurt.” The gambler’s lack of expression demonstrates to Kenny the fruits of such practice. He has passed beyond judgment into constant unlabeled experience.
14. Said, “if you’re gonna play the game, boy, you’ve gotta learn to play it right”
He refers to life again as a game of chance: probability. This acts as a paraphrase of the statement, “Nothing is true, everything is possible.” He then makes another reference to Kenny as a child (see the comment on use of the word ‘son’ above). The gambler issues a directive to Kenny to find his true will. “If you’re going to be alive, you must find and accomplish your true will,” serves as an appropriate paraphrase. There also hides a subtle instruction on avoiding falling into destruction along the magickal path.
[The chorus appears here chronologically, but for the purposes of proper analysis of it in reference to the rest of the song, it appears at the end of this exegesis. The chorus acts as a key to understand the lines of the song, and vice versa.]
15. “Now every gambler knows, that the secret to surviving, is knowing what to throw away and knowing what to keep,
Every adept magician possesses the secrets to getting by in the world, surviving the treacherous mystic path. Through magickal training, Kenny will achieve what Buddhists refer to as ‘Right Discernment;’ the realization of his true will. Everyone can attain with the hand they have been dealt, it remains a matter of knowing what to do with one’s circumstances. Also, knowing what influences and practices to indulge in and what pitfalls to avoid.
16. “’Cause every hand’s a winner, and every hand’s a loser,
A reiteration of the last line expressing that in existence, possibilities are limitless. This shows life as perfectly balanced. The Gambler here reveals his Taoist tendencies ‘Hand’ serves as a metaphor for individual circumstances. ‘Winner’ and ‘loser’ are simply labels individuals attach to said circumstances; two perceptions of the same existence. Thus, this line compels Kenny to abolish those labels and all perception of duality in order to play his hand properly (to do his true will). The Hebrew letter yod means hand. It also refers to sperm, the means of action. All the talk of playing cards suggests the use of tarot in Kenny’s initiation.
17. “and the best that you can hope for is to die in your sleep,”
I speculate this mysterious line refers to a peaceful death occurring while one dreams easy. Perhaps he suggests transcending the fear of death through methods similar to those in the Tibetan Book of the Dead. Dying while one is still alive aids in quelling fear of death. Perhaps the gambler suggests lucid dreaming as a method for Kenny to accomplish this death experience. Also, Spare’s school of thought suggests using a “death posture” to attain trance states for use towards magickal working. Traditional yoga practices also contain an asana called “corpse.”
Author’s note:“Lo! On the other side of the grave I have conquered the fear of death, But the fear of life is still here; I am brave Yet I fear my own breath. Now I must conquer the fear of life, The knock of the blood in my wrists, The breath that rushes through my nose, the strife Of desires in the loins’ dark twists.” Believe it or not, as I wrote the last lines regarding the fear of death, this Will Oldham song was playing. The song is called “The Risen Lord.” If this shit didn’t happen so often, I might call it weird. Track 10…
18. When He finished speaking, He turned back toward the window,
The Hebrew letter He’ (h) is indicated three times in this sentence, for the letter h means a window: “the means by which the Light reaches us” –Crowley, 777. The tarot card in The Book of Thoth that corresponds with he is “The Star.” On a ‘warm summer’s evening,’ Nuit, the night sky/star goddess would appear radiantly across the huge Texas horizon. The close of the ritual is indicated by the gambler’s silence and turning away. The speaking refers to the gambler’s mouth. The Hebrew letter p means mouth and the tarot card “The Tower.” Kenny’s tower (his belief systems; reality tunnels) has been blasted by the magical initiation that has just taken place. The magician closes his mouth from whence sprang the fiery force responsible for the blasting. (See the bottom of the tower card for a picture of the mouth referred to.)
19. Crushed out his cigarette, and faded off to sleep,
He puts out the cigarette, officially ending the ceremony. After passing his secret (the chorus) to Kenny; the old gambler can rest.
20. And somewhere in the darkness, the gambler he broke even,
In the middle of nowhere, the chaotic void—the place the song says they were headed all along—the magician finds perfect balance, the yin-yang of the Tao, Kether of Qabala. This perfect balance transcends the constant change and influx of one element into another, and thus, his spirit transcends his body. The gambler’s work here is done, yea, is done. This also refers to the 0=2 equation, 1 plus its opposite (-1) = 0; 1 and its opposite (-1) are both things and thus equal both 2 and zero at the same time. As the gambler realizes this, he achieves the glory of balance. See the “Adjustment” card of the tarot.
21. But in his final words I found an ace that I could keep.
The gambler has spoken his last words—the chorus—and in them, Kenny finds the seed of wisdom that shall become the blooming of his true will. The Ace refers also to Kether, the pinnacle of the qabalistic tree of life, of which seemingly nothing linguistic may describe. Kenny lets us know its something that he can keep beyond this life.
High Arcana:
You’ve got to know when to hold ‘em know when to fold ‘em
Know when to walk away, know when to run,
You never count your money, while you’re sittin’ at the table
Ther’ll be time enough for countin,’ when the dealin’s done
To comment on these secret yet obvious revelations could do nothing but taint their perfection. Each person must apply their own interpretation in their own subjective circumstances to attain to the wisdom and understanding herein.
The reader is a fool who views this as a joke; also fools are those who think the author believes that Kenny Rogers had occult intent in his performance of the gambler. Who is the master that makes the money green? –The Gambler, KR Zen

-Eugene, Oregon 22 June 2004 e.v.

The deep freeze lifts away from Eugene, Oregon. Raindrops fall outside my window and melt away the layer of verglas that had settled on the surface of everything. Now I return to Escape Plans Unlimited…my mission far from accomplished.
Today I have for you a very short video of the neck technique I demonstrated a few months back. This technique is deceptively simple and powerful in the extreme. Its power rests in the deep sense of silence it can instill when performed correctly.
To do this technique, set a timer for 3 or 5 minutes. Relax your face a body for a few moments. Now, turn your head from side to side AS SLOWLY AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN. If you do this correctly, it will feel almost ridiculously slow.
Finally, the video:
Enjoy Everything!

Have you ever caught yourself wondering how you got where you are right now? Have you ever had the thought that you don’t really know yourself? Has it ever occurred to you that the body underneath all of your thoughts is something different and impossible to contain in words and thoughts?
The exercise I will do with you today will help bring you to a deeper experience of you as a physiological experience, instead of all the thoughts and labels you think you might be.
Whatever you call yourself–human, socialist, leftist, liberal, conservative, Buddhist, Christian, [your name here], fat, thin, ugly, pretty, and anything else you can think of–is not the same as Y-O-U. Why does any of this matter? Perhaps it doesn’t matter at all. Perhaps living a life in which the real creature gets buried under confused thoughts, and confuses itself for those thoughts, is not too bad after all.
It takes so much effort and time to pay attention, to develop focused, concentrated awareness, and to really get clear with oneself about what the hell is going on in any given situation…Why not just float with the habits and programs that have gotten each of us this far?
Well, for one thing, that is not the mission of Creative Deconstruction or Escape Plans Unlimited. The mission of this blog is to wake myself up; to seek my own enlightenment, my own joy, and my own concentrated and focused attention; and to ignore anything and everything that tries to convince me otherwise. Of course, this can get a bit complicated when attempting to identify foreign installations, as Castaneda called our programming and waking sleep, and to remove them.
Again, I redirect your mind to the body in which it resides. Feel that thing sitting there in front of this screen.
For the sake of the following exercise, record a video of yourself doing it, or feel free to follow along with me and to stare into my eyes during the video. Do not expect to be entertained by this video. Instead, expect to have an experience….your own experience. Notice if the full 2 minutes of the 2 exercises seems to drag on, notice your breathing and your reactions. Leave me a comment about such observations.
Without further enjoyable rambling, the video:

For the rest of the next 31 days, I will not completely repeat the instructions for the various exercises and experiments I have prescribed as I go through them one by one and share with you the results.
Instead I will simply record a video and include relevant notes and fun things like pictures and lists here.
As I creatively destroy myself by taking my own advice, I trust some of you out there will stop by, check out the exercises, think you understand them, and then never try any of them. Then, a couple of you will actually do the exercises. I want to hear from you. Record a video of your own and send it my way. I’ll put it up on the blog, and give you a free 15 minute Creative Deconstruction phone session….
Today, I have for you a long overdue, new and improved gagging video. Gag yourself for wellness and relaxation! Remember, it is your body and your choice what you get to do with it. I encourage you to experiment with your body for yourself before believing all the shit you may have been told about it while growing up.
Welcome to the Meta-Vomitorium!
Now, I didn’t show you in the video an addition variation you can make for better gagging. For the variation, take a finger from your opposite hand, put some water or lube on it, and put it in your rear end. This will encourage the sphincter muscle to relax, and when it relaxes, it feels great. I can already hear the reactions you might have to this. Well, whatever your reaction may be, remember this: It is your body, and you can do with it whatever you want. Enjoy it. All of it.
Until next time, this is Garrett Daun, with Creative Deconstruction, metapuking and signing off.
Enjoy,

Today I return again to a favorite subject of mine, the human face. There are so many different looks and shapes to faces. What a fascinating thing to look at out in public, especially in big cities, where the faces come from all over the world.
Well, I am going to let my talking head say the rest here:
One last thing. Soon I will be releasing the first Creative Deconstruction course for download: Creative Deconstruction: Ground Zero. The course will include all kinds of amazing exercises and experiments. You will be able to host your very own Creative Deconstruction workshop once you master the ideas and techniques for yourself. The PDF and videos will be available for download after purchase, and there will be a hard copy and DVD edition as well…..

This is a repost of my article from 30pov.com …
Many lifetimes prior to the one in which I write this article, I used to consider myself an anarchist. Not just any anarchist, but a green anarchist. In those days, all my internal strife found a perfect outlet: The State. The state represented all that I thought was wrong with the world and with my own life.

Me, enjoying all of life.
Let me tell you, there is absolutely nothing wrong with anything. I’ll write that again so you can let it sink in a little deeper. There is absolutely nothing wrong with anything. Ok, one more time, to allow your brain cells to wrap around the idea and get more comfortable with it:
There is absolutely nothing wrong with anything. There are no troubles. There is nothing you can ever do that will make you ok.
One of my favorite teachers, Dr. Christopher S. Hyatt, once said, “The world has no troubles. The trouble is you. The trouble is your brain. It’s not your fault, it’s a design issue.”
Now, I know that the quote up there will rub some of you all kinds of ways. I look forward to fielding your questions and comments about it. If you have any troubles you can’t seem to escape from, drop over to my site and purchase Escape Planning, Radical Undoing, and/or Choose Your Own Adventure Consultations. We can take your seemingly real troubles and turn them into fuel for living the life of your dreams.
Let me ask you a question. Have you ever heard a deer or squirrel complain? Yeah, I know that squirrels make funny noises, but have you ever heard one sit and bitch to the other squirrels about how tough life is for them? Have you ever heard a three-legged deer complain about the loss of its leg?
Animals take action and live their lives, no matter what circumstances surround them.
There is no point buying green. There is no point worrying about the end of the world. There is absolutely no point in paying attention to politics. There is no point doing anything but living a life full of great joy, love, adventure, and creativity. These are the elements of an organic life.
An organic life does not demand or expect you to care about green choices, green politics, or green businesses. The word “Green” is nothing more than a dynamite marketing tactic. All a marketer must do to succeed is to identify deep and common fears. Then, the marketer offers to relieve some of your fear by creating an opportunity for you to take action so you feel like you have done something. By attaching the word “green” to products, services, and activities, marketers have set the stage for you to get rid of some of your guilt and fear by taking action.
I see absolutely nothing wrong with this, and I cheer on the marketers who make millions on “greening” everything.
I bet that some of you think that I do not care at all about the destruction of the natural world. Well, you are wrong. I do care, just not in the ways marketers and politicians want me to care. I care about you as a dynamic and organic life form on this beautiful planet. I care that you begin to recognize your true role here as a human-animal. I care that you break free from the eco-anxiety the television has attempted to infect you with.
If you care at all for politics, this is like the hole you have fallen in. Either close the lid, forget about it, and vote to your heart’s content, or climb out. See my blog for tools.
An organic life begins by recognizing that you are the most important person in your life. From there, just infuse everything with joy. Bring joy to every single experience you have. Remember that you are an integral part of nature, and that you and everything else are nature. Do not believe the liberals, conservatives, communists, socialists, or anarchists. Let them whine themselves to death.
To live an organic life:
1. You are nature. You have a right to exist. You are the most important person in your life.
2. Fill yourself with a deep joy. Remember to enjoy even your miseries, because you never know, it might be the only time you get to have such an experience. The more joy you bring to your miseries, the more power you gain over time. Infuse every situation you enter with Joy. Be deliberate about how you administer the ambience around you.
3. Love yourself deeply. Love everything about you. Love even those parts of you that you may not have liked in the past. Accept and love yourself as a whole. Then, you can begin to understand what love means, and how it might be possible to share with others.
4. Seek out and create situations and experiences in which you do not know what the outcome will be. This is one meaning of adventure, not knowing the outcome ahead of time. This can include sky diving and rock climbing, as well as talking to a new beautiful person or taking a trip to a new place.
5. Create something new at least once a day. Create things every chance you get. If you have any spare time, fill it with creations of your very own. Try new art forms. Write poems. Create anything. What you create does not matter at all. The process of creation is what I am getting at.
Get out of your own head. Abandon all ideas you have had about yourself. This article is your license on a whole new life. This article forgives you of all of your sins. This article gives you permission to stop caring about all the garbage everyone else thinks you should care about. Now you can care about you, about living with joy, about seeking beauty everywhere, and about living an awesome organic life.
This does not mean that you will not get angry, depressed, upset, frustrated, or confused. What it does mean is that now you have the choice and the permission to infuse those situations with joy. You have the choice to administer the ambience around you in any way you choose. Will you fill your life with joy?
If there is anything you think I should care about that I have missed, I don’t care. Enjoy yourself anyway.
Love, Wildness, Chaos, and Joy……
Enjoy Everything! I love you all, especially the haters….;)

My very handy computer dictionary defines altar and temple in the following manner:
altar
noun
the table in a Christian church at which the bread and wine are consecrated in communion services.
• a table or flat-topped block used as the focus for a religious ritual, esp. for making sacrifices or offerings to a deity.temple
noun
a building devoted to the worship, or regarded as the dwelling place, of a god or gods or other objects of religious reverence.
Now, lest you imagine that I am a Christian, I will tell you that I am not. I am not anything you could ever possibly define, and neither are you. Now that we are free from bullshit definitions and labels, we can use the above definitions, and all religions in fact, for our own empowerment, experiment, and joy.
This article is about the utility of using an altar and a temple as metaphors for understanding how to make quick and lasting changes in our lives.
Let’s explore that definition a little more closely.
The altar in a Christian sense is, “the table in a Christian church at which the bread and wine are consecrated in communion services.” What is the metaphor behind the bread and wine? Some posit that the bread, the body of Christ, is semen, while the wine is menstrual blood. This idea communicates the mysteries and miracles of conception and birth.
Others see the bread as the body of god, and the wine as the blood. Yet others think of the bread as matter and the wine as energy. Further, a student of Art might see the bread as form and the wine as content.
For the purposes of Creative Deconstruction, where we steal every useful technique from every place we can find them, I propose that the bread and wine represent simple mundane items that have the power to affect our lives in powerful ways, if viewed from the proper perspective.
The proper perspective is this: everything on an altar has its proper place and function. The second definition of altar from above reads, “a table or flat-topped block used as the focus for a religious ritual, esp. for making sacrifices or offerings to a deity.” Now, imagine your deeper self, the part of you beating the heart, working the lungs, operating bodily functions, and making your mind possible…this part is the “deity” you will serve with your altar and temple.
Every single item, person, and even your thoughts and manners of thinking, emotions, everything, the food you eat, the toothbrush you use, and all the clutter and stuff in your life, each of them plays some role for you. Each of them triggers a different emotional experience. Each of them triggers a cascade of thoughts, reactions, and activities in your mind and body.
Since we are imagining that you yourself are the God or Goddess indwelling in the temple of your life with various altars scattered about dedicated to your service and empowerment, it follows that we can use the screen of our conscious mind as a tool for upgrading and redesigning our altars and temple spaces in a more conscious and deliberate manner.
To begin, you must identify the true desires of the god inside you. Creative Deconstruction offers multiple approaches for accomplishing just that. What I mean by that is the dream or ultimate life you have thrown aside for a life of compromise where you do things you don’t like in order to get by. That is no longer a satisfying option for anyone, so give it up. If you need help, check in over at Creative Deconstruction Services page (here).
So, once you have uncovered and remembered your true dreams and desires, independent of any other forces in your life, you have the foundation to begin. If you have not found your true desires and dream life, you will design your altars and temple spaces to constantly aim your attention at the goal of discovering yourself more fully.
From there, go through everything you surround yourself with. Start with a desk, a car, your bedroom, or other such space. Make a list of your friends and associates. Now, deduce how each item, person, place, and thing fits into your goals on this planet. Notice whether they strengthen or weaken you in your pursuits.
From there, you can make decisions to scrap the weakening or distracting items, and to enhance and add positive triggers to aim your mind and body constantly toward your goals and desires. You can do it one piece at a time if you wish. If you are having trouble identifying just how an item, person, place, or thing affects you, try the following exercise:
Write out in your journal: “What does __________________ mean to me?” (Insert person, place, thing, habit, thought process into the blank space.) Do this for long enough to indentify what kinds of meanings your surroundings have been infused with. Start small and work up from there.
Once you build some momentum, your life will shift effortlessly in your favor. The idea here is to recognize that the things around us which we ignore are actually the background upon which our lives take place. This background influences us constantly in both subtle and direct ways. By shifting the background, we can shift the whole life.
Enjoy Everything! Infuse all things with arrows pointing toward your highest aims.

28. Chaotic Glance of Power:

Chaotic Glance of Power
This exercise is inspired by Timothy Ferriss and his book, The Four Hour Work Week. This simple exercise will imbue your eyes and your glance with immense power and confidence. It may feel funny and scary at first. With practice it will get easier and easier unitl you become a master of your own eyes and glances.
For the next 3 days, look in the eyes of everyone you see. Keep looking into their eyes until they look away. That’s it. It’s that simple. You will find yourself a beneficiary of many smiles and strange looks. Tim Ferriss gives a hint for situations when someone receiving your Glance of Chaos gets upset. Just say, “Oh, I thought you were an old friend of mine.”
You can later build on this exercise by striking up directed conversations with all the people you meet from doing the glance.
Also, I know this exercise must be a totally different monster for women, as they often end up on the receiving end of unwanted stares. I encourage any women reading this site to contact me and let me know how this exercise goes for you. Can you come up with any adaptations, or does it work just as well for women as for men? I feel excited to hear from you.
29. Escape From Your Fake-Ass Self: I don’t expect too many of you to try this one. If you do, drop me a line and tell me about your results.
Create for yourself a new character. If you like, add traits that you don’t have but you want to adopt. Come up with a new name, new history, new stories, and new ways of using your body posture and facial gestures. Practice in the mirror or with a close associate who shares your zeal for Creative Deconstruction. Keep at it until it feels somewhat natural to you.
Go to a part of town you never frequent. If you live in a small town, travel to a different town in your area. Cities are best for this exercise. Try out your new personality. Try it out at a bar, a church, a library, or anywhere else you can meet new people. If you slip up or if someone catches you in your act, abandon it and walk away. Or just laugh and carry on.
30. A Future Wish Come True: This exercise is inspired by Mark Joyner and his Simpleology Business Coaching service.
Sit or lie down in a comfortable position. Close your eyes. Now, imagine yourself 40 years into the future. Imagine that you have kept up with all of your bad habits for the whole 40 years. See yourself in the state you will be in if you keep on living in ways that are destructive to your health and well-being. Really see, feel, hear, and experience this vision of yourself.
Next, feel and hear yourself making a powerful wish. Wish that you could have another chance at the last 40 years. Again, really feel a deep yearning to erase the past 40 years and get another shot at your life. Keep on wishing until the yearning reaches a fever pitch. At that moment……open your eyes.
Your wish has just come true. Spend a little time writing down what kinds of changes you want to make.
If you like, project those new changes and patterns 40 years into the future and enjoy how wonderful the future you looks and feels. Take some actions toward that goal right away. Not later, not tomorrow, NOW. Good luck!
