No camera for now. Although the camera on my machine just got back from getting fixed. Oh well.

On the second day in L.A., the adventure was brief, but enjoyable. In the very early morning, the raining finally stopped pounding the outside of our tent. We had made it through the night relatively dry, with the exception of the edges of everything getting a bit damp.

Sheila and I hiked up to a point overlooking the coast highway, and the vast mother ocean. I sat there with her with my shirt off in the sun and winds, among crispy green and brown shrubs, scurrying lizards, and a dusty trail. We sat on some rocks and enjoyed for quite some time.

Then, as fast as we had arrived, we drove back into the city.

Our plans to meet up with some friends never came to fruition, although we did go walking down the Santa Monica Pier. A few times, we considered getting some charcoal and having a picnic to cook some habanero sausages, but we went back into the city instead.

That night, we stayed at another spot outside the city, with beautiful darkness all around.

Back into the fray after that.

On Wednesday, I got back home. I went to bed without doing too much, besides getting this computer back, and facing the fact that the repair didn’t actually repair what I requested the repair for. Again, oh well. It will mean another phone call to the service people, hopefully an easy fix, since the camera is new. But I do remember the days when I never had any computer at all. Those days were just as nice, and perhaps nicer, than the days of getting wrapped up in this screen, after having abandoned the TV so long ago…

More later tonight.

I did a simple Just Because Club exercise. As usual, the effects reverberate in my mind long after the exercise has ended.

Or did it end at all, at all?
