Earth as a Fishbowl

On 28 February 2009, in Creative Deconstructions, by Garrett Daun

Pretend for a moment that you find yourself in a giant fishbowl called Earth. The fishbowl sits atop a dresser in some Gawd’s bedroom. You might have found yourself lucky enough to end up in an Earth on an altar.

Gawd takes the fishbowl with her wherever she goes!

Notice how life flows, inside you, and outside you.

Pay attention.

Stay Aware.

Stay Awake.

Remember that you were here. Remember that you are always here. You always find yourself in this room, in this place.

As soon as you pay attention to the movements and activities of the body, you have established some small space in which to observe yourself.

You can always return to that space. In fact, you find yourself there multiple times per day. E.J. Gold suggests as many as 150 times per day.

As you conduct further experiments and observations, the lab will get bigger and more established. From there, the work begins.

Enjoy,

-GTD
