August 1 marks the beginning of a whole new life for me, you, and everyone else who so chooses to begin. Really, every single second provides an opportunity to…..wait a minute, I’ll get to that later.
This post signifies an embarking on a month-long mission to deliver a shotgun blast of simple tools you can use to break out of any cell you happen to find yourself in. Use them. Experiment with them. Send me your results.

The first exercise is something I have mentioned over and over and over again. Blame it on a simple twist of face. By twisting, turning, and stretching your face, you expand your outlook on everything, and you extend the opportunity for others to see you more clearly as the dynamic, beautiful, chaotic ball of life you represent.

I've been working with this exercice for several months as a part of my morning routine. At first it mostly produced a kind of wake up streching of my face plus a great shake to my morning automatic (and often negative) thoughts. Recently though, it took a much deeper direction. Somehow this face streching exercice is connected with my belly., my chest and my pelvis. Doing it in the morning brings a very deep and pleasurable sense of relaxation to my core. I've to admit that I'm almost addicted to it now. A great way to begin the day!
