At 10:00am today, I did my first Remote Bardo Safari. Instead of trying to explain it to you, I will send you to the site. Click on the words “Remote Bardo Safari” and you can read all about it for yourself. My Oxford American Dictionary defines bardo as: bardo |?bär?d?| noun (in Tibetan Buddhism) a [...] Read more »

Greetings my fellow existential prisoners and wanna-be escapees! Tonight, I have a special brain-blossoming treat for you! This rapid-fire brain-assault on the forces of evil lurking in the dark corners of your brain appeared by random synchronicity in the Sci-Tech section of a well-known conservative newspaper, the North County Times, of North San Diego County, [...] Read more »

Good evening, readers. Tonight, I have asked Jack from Tales of the Post Apocalyptic Thief to drop by again with his autobiographical fiction wizardry. He tells me he will be adding a shitload of his stories over at his site soon, I suppose time will tell. So for tonight, I have handed the reigns over [...] Read more »

Ok folks, a spontaneous adventure awaits me tonight. Sheila and I will drive first to a ranch out in the desert, and then tomorrow, five hours north to Bishop and beyond, to some hot springs for some camping and pilgrimage time. Of course, there will be pictures, and blog updates from the coffee shops out [...] Read more »

What I mean is, do you know anything at all about the land upon which your life has been superimposed? More specifically, have you gone out and explored your surroundings, beyond the sidewalks, roads, and areas prescribed for human movement? When I lived in Eugene, OR, I lived next to a large plot of forested [...] Read more »

Hey everyone. I’m back. My computer got back to me in a flash. The L.A. trip was a success, I made it to Rustic Canyon, got some pictures, had an awesome hike into the sunset, lost my sunglasses, and had a beautiful night camping at Pt. Mugu State Park. I did make it in time [...] Read more »

Captured Moments….yet again, I have unwrapped my foil-wrapped deck of moments, and this time the instructions directed me to write a sound detail for each of them. For the back-story to this post, check: Captured Moments. I noticed this time that I went very quickly through the deck, reading just enough to be able to [...] Read more »

Find out just who I will cast my beloved vote for, at the bottom of this blog post. First, I will reprint the text of an email between myself and someone apparently caught up in the world of politics. Remember, it doesn’t matter whether the voting machines are honest or not, or really, who “wins” [...] Read more »

Thanks for joining me for another installment of my Just Because Club memory adventure! I do not know exactly just how this “Captured Moments” activity has jostled and messed with my brain just yet. Of course, as the activity deepens, my flow of memories throughout the day has increased and grown far more compelling and [...] Read more »

My challenge tonight consists of working on this blog for the last 11 or so hours today. I went running earlier and it blew my mind. More on that when I do a blog on running. For now, I will continue into the early morning hours whilst studying and practicing copywriting and attempting to launch [...] Read more »

Escape Plans Unlimited….?” someone asked me today on my facebook. I responded thus, “Ahh. One concept is to Escape from all the ideas you have about yourself. Both positive and negative. Another concept is to establish a space in your brain….literally carve out, by certain practices, a space in which you can breathe, and get [...] Read more »

Greetings all- Today, I had plans for a 2-fold adventure at the local library. Don’t worry, that plan is still in the works. More on that later. Today, instead, I rocked through the longest day of massage I have ever had. Before beginning the day, I arose here at home, did an online lesson to [...] Read more »

Oh yeah. Check it! After a startling series of wake-up calls, revelations, and dodging the spider in the middle of Indra’s Net, all set off by an unassuming workshop about body movements and breathing, I got home to Eugene and decided I was a model.

The story behind the people in these photos amazes me far more than the photos themselves, but perhaps the photos speak more than I ever could, in linear terms, of how this modeling session came together.

Let me just say that it blew my mind so far out that I cried at the underlying beauty and wildness that hides in plain view behind all the movements of my life. You’ll have to ask me for an in-depth version of the story someday. That’s another book entirely.

For now, you can see the fruits of awakening. Naked and Read more »
